A Porsche owner who drove to her dealership to ask what the brand plans to do about the petrol price has South Africans laughing on TikTok. @pam_marlowe posted the 85 second clip on 22 October, and it has about 101,000 views.

The clip is a joke. Her on-screen text reads "POV..taking my problems to the creator", and her caption tags Porsche Centre Johannesburg. It includes a cappuccino topped with "911" latte art.

The punchline lands because fuel is expensive. Petrol 95 is at a record R30.25 a litre in Gauteng, according to News24. Early projections point to a small drop of about 30c on 4 November because of the temporary fuel levy cut. Those are indications, not final prices. See our November fuel price explainer.
