Tshwane power outages today (3 November 2026): affected areas, causes and when power returns
Hartebeest-fed areas, Brooklyn, Waterkloof, Muckleneuk, Monument Park and Erasmusrand are among the Tshwane areas without power on 3 November 2026. Here is what the City says.

Update (12:55 SAST, 3 November 2026): The City of Tshwane says the outdoor switchgear that exploded in Waterkloof on 2 November has been replaced. Rain delayed cable connections last night, and teams resumed work this morning to finish them. Power will be restored once that work is complete; no restoration time has been given. Separately, the City reported an outage in parts of Soshanguve (Blocks M, Kx, K, H, Hx and F West) after a fault on the 33kV line at Soshanguve Substation.
Parts of Tshwane are still without electricity on Tuesday morning, 3 November 2026, after outages that started on Monday. The City of Tshwane says the Hartebeest Substation outage was caused by a fault on Eskom's side, and ten substations remain off with no restoration time yet (City of Tshwane). A new outage hit Monument Park, Waterkloof Ridge and Erasmusrand early this morning (City of Tshwane). This is not load shedding (Eskom).
