South African artist @sk_original_art posted a 15 second TikTok on 7 November holding up a shiny chrome bust he made of Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, captioned "Fun and games" with three crying-laughing emojis. The clip has about 287,000 views and more than 50,000 likes.
According to Briefly News, earlier videos of the artist working on the bust had people saying it didn't quite look like Kolisi, and this clip is his follow-up taking the jokes in his stride. The comment section has since turned into a game of swapping the second half of Siya's name for puns in isiXhosa, isiZulu, Sesotho and Tshivenda, with more than 1,000 comments so far. Kolisi has not publicly reacted to the sculpture that Reported could find.
