SA men sang gospel in an Uber to prove they were harmless
A TikTok of South African men singing a church song in an Uber at night has about 1.6 million views. Watch the clip and see what Mzansi said.

A group of South African men asked for a female Uber driver at night, then sang a church song from the back seat to show they meant no harm. TikTok creator @ginger234j posted the dimly lit clip on 31 October, and it has about 1.6 million views, about 479,000 likes and more than 24,000 shares.
The on-screen text spells out the plan: they requested a female driver after dark and broke into a gospel song to prove they were harmless. One passenger hums while the others carry the melody. Commenter @chathist_likazwelonke3, who appears to have been in the car, wrote that she must feel safe around them because the world is tough. Briefly News covered the clip on 1 November. Viewers are split on whether the choir calmed the driver or spooked her more.
