Miss SA Qhawe Mazaleni's reaction as sister Homba wins Top Billing

Miss South Africa 2025 Qhawekazi Mazaleni (@qhawemazaleni) filmed herself at home watching the moment her sister Homba was named the winner of the Top Billing Presenter Search. She covers her mouth in disbelief, then jumps up to celebrate as the announcement plays on TV. The clip, posted on the night of 29 October, has about 234,000 views and more than 84,000 likes.

Homba, a sport scientist, biokineticist and content creator, was announced as the new Top Billing presenter on Thursday, 29 October, at an event in Johannesburg, according to IOL. The search drew more than 3,000 auditions, and she made the final five alongside Talitha Bothma, Karen Mthethwa, Nehemiah Tjatji and Ross Marshall.

It's a full circle moment for the family. Qhawekazi was crowned Miss South Africa almost exactly a year ago, on 25 October 2025. Now the Mazaleni family has a second big win to celebrate.
