She flew from Nigeria to see Pirates live, and Mzansi is in tears

Nigerian Orlando Pirates superfan Mimi has finally watched her team live, and it got emotional. She posted the 78 second clip as @anodamirakle on Tuesday night, 27 October, with a two word caption: "I cried". By Wednesday morning it had about 57,000 views and almost 10,000 likes.

Mimi, whose full name is Miracle Ebubechi Michael, has supported Pirates from Nigeria for years. A crowdfunding campaign backed by the Orlando Pirates Supporters Forum, with Kaizer Chiefs and Sundowns fans reportedly chipping in, raised more than R40,000 to bring her to Johannesburg for Saturday's Soweto derby at FNB Stadium, according to Briefly News and The South African.

Her earlier posts point to Tuesday's Carling Knockout game at the Orlando Amstel Arena, which Pirates won 3-0 against Milford FC, but the clip itself does not say. She has also made the derby personal: "If Kaizer Chiefs beat Pirates in the Soweto Derby, I will walk all the way back to Nigeria on foot!"
