Olivia Dean is coming to SA. Pre-register by 28 October for tickets

British singer Olivia Dean will headline Milk + Cookies Festival South Africa in January 2027, and fans who want Early Bird tickets have until 28 October to pre-register (Milk + Cookies on X; Milk + Cookies on X).

The festival announced Dean as its headliner on Friday morning, 23 October. The post had been viewed more than 237,000 times within hours.

When and where is Milk + Cookies 2027?

• Cape Town: Friday 29 January 2027, at Sandringham Farm (official site; The Citizen)
• Johannesburg: Sunday 31 January 2027, at the Expo Centre, Nasrec (official site; The Citizen)

Sandringham Farm is a new venue for the Cape Town show. The 2026 edition was at Kenilworth Racecourse, and the first one in 2025 was at Ostrich Farm. Joburg stays at Nasrec (The Citizen).

Pre-registration runs on Howler, the festival's ticketing partner, until 28 October. You can sign up through the festival's registration page (Milk + Cookies on X). The link may put you in an online queue first when traffic is heavy.

Ticket prices had not been published on the festival's website by Friday afternoon (official site).

Who else is on the line-up?

So far the festival has named four South African acts: DJ Jade T and singer Zee Nxumalo for Johannesburg, plus Chelsea Sloan and Elaine (Milk + Cookies on X; Milk + Cookies on X; The Citizen). Why is Olivia Dean such a big booking?

Dean, a 27-year-old singer-songwriter from London, won the Grammy for Best New Artist in February 2026 and took four BRIT Awards weeks later, including Artist of the Year. Her song Man I Need went to number one in the UK (The Citizen).

She follows past Milk + Cookies headliners Kaytranada, Gunna and Majid Jordan. This will be the festival's third South African edition (The Citizen).
