NewsNexusOfficial (@newsnexussa) shared a clip of KwaZulu-Natal residents staging a mock funeral for the ANC, with mourners carrying a coffin draped in green and yellow and singing burial hymns. The video, posted on 6 November after the local government elections, has about 374,000 views and about 47,000 likes.
The South African and Briefly both covered the stunt, which followed major ANC losses in KZN, where the MK Party and IFP made gains in several former ANC strongholds. The clip shows a man in pastoral robes leading the procession before participants kneel and pretend to grieve. Reported has not independently confirmed the exact street or ward filmed.
