The DA has a clear early lead in Ekurhuleni, the East Rand metro that includes Germiston, Benoni, Boksburg, Kempton Park and Tembisa. On eNCA's results page, the DA had 42.39% of the vote, with the ANC on 15.57% and ActionSA on 15.04%.

The ANC won the most seats in Ekurhuleni in 2021, so this would be a major change if it holds. But most of the metro was still uncounted on Thursday, 5 November.
