How do you apply?
DUT applications go through the CAO, not directly to the university. Apply on the CAO website and use the course code from the tables above. The CAO handles applications for several KwaZulu-Natal institutions, so one application can list choices at more than one of them.
Matrics writing exams now can apply with their Grade 11 or latest Grade 12 results. Final admission depends on your NSC results when they're released in January.
Who is this for?
Mainly 2026 matrics who haven't applied yet, or who want a backup option. DUT has about 33,000 students across seven campuses in Durban and Pietermaritzburg, according to BusinessTech.
Other DUT faculties, including Accounting and Informatics, Management Sciences, Health Sciences and Arts and Design, weren't part of this extension. Check the CAO site for their status before you plan around them.
