Woodstock and Schaapkraal in Philippi lose water from 09:00 to 18:00 on 29 October 2026 for planned water main work, and Gardens and parts of Khayelitsha have zero-pressure tests.

A large part of Woodstock and all of Schaapkraal in Philippi are without water from 09:00 to 18:00 on Thursday, 29 October 2026, while the City does planned work on water mains (City service alerts; City of Cape Town). Gardens and low-lying parts of Khayelitsha have zero-pressure tests today, so some homes there may have low or no water.
All times below are SAST and come from the City. They are estimates and can change.

What should I do while the water is off?
Keep your taps closed so nothing floods when supply returns, and keep drinking water in clean, sealed containers. Water can look milky for a short while after it comes back because of trapped air in the pipes. It clears if you leave it to stand in a glass (City of Cape Town). Follow @CityofCTAlerts for restorations.
Coming up: Bofors Circle in Epping Industria 2 is set to lose water on Saturday, 31 October, from 12:00 to 22:00 for a valve replacement (City service alerts).
Earlier coverage: 28 October.
