Buffalo City's 'Nton Nton Manager' job ad has Mzansi in stitches
A Buffalo City Metro vacancy titled 'Nton nton Manager', with gibberish for a directorate, has gone viral on TikTok. Watch the clip and see what Mzansi is saying.

A jobseeker scrolling through the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality's vacancies page found a post called "Nton nton Manager", with "dhgbdnbg" listed as the directorate. The screen recording, shared by @newsnexussa on 28 October, had about 62,000 views by that afternoon.
The odd row sat at the top of the municipality's 2026 vacancies list, above real posts like a storeman in supply chain management and a general manager for human resources, all with a closing date of 23 October. "Nton nton" is everyday slang for "this and that" or "whatever", which is half the joke.
Many commenters with tech backgrounds say it looks like test data that was never deleted from the live site. Buffalo City hasn't commented, so that explanation is unconfirmed. When Reported checked the municipality's 2026 vacancies page on 28 October, the "Nton nton Manager" listing was no longer there.
